There is only one real reason to still be using XP, and that is to play old hopefully not online games that don't work in a newer OS. Do get a tech savvy friend to advise you though because there are plenty of unscrupulous dealers charging silly prices and it's quite easy to pick one up for £30 - £50 if you know what you're looking at.
